Job summary

BD is seeking an Associate Territory Manager to promote Peripheral Interventions (PI) across a Washington, DC/Baltimore area. You will engage physicians, clinical staff, administration, and procurement to drive product utilization while working independently and with a team.

You will develop account strategies, build relationships with key decision makers, conduct product presentations, and resolve technical or service issues related to BD PI products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of relevant experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in peripheral intervention and vascular access desirable.
• Knowledgeable in clinical segments such as critical care, emergency medicine, endoscopy, radiology, cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology and perioperative environments.
• Demonstrated successful sales track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary contact and liaison between BD and the customer (e.g., Hospital Staff, Clinicians, Procurement).
• Determines current usage of PI products within each account and develops strategies to increase market share for all PI products.
• Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
• Conducts product presentations to various audiences including physician groups, nursing staff, residents, pharmacists and administrators.
• Assists in the identification and resolution of any technical or service issues related to the use of BD products.
• Maintains detailed records of customer accounts, including the development and implementation of programs to enhance market share for PI products.
• Attends conferences and trade shows as determined by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Assists in training new employees and students.
• Facilitates communication between BD and customers regarding new products, new technology, and changes in government regulations.
• Works closely with sales representatives to support PI product trials and new product introductions.
