Job summary

Spherion WI & Northern IL is preparing to open a new Appleton branch and seeks a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion in Fox Valley & Green Bay. This role focuses on outreach, relationship-building, and turning opportunities into clients for staffing and recruiting solutions.

The right candidate will own a territory, build momentum, and play a key role in launching the office within a strong regional brand, with competitive salary plus commission and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, business development, or B2B sales.
• Strong relationships or familiarity with the Fox Valley business community.
• Experience in staffing and recruiting is preferred; strong B2B sales in the local market also considered.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and engage companies through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
• Build relationships with HR leaders, department heads, and business owners to uncover hiring challenges.
• Generate new client partnerships by introducing Spherion’s staffing and workforce solutions.
• Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution.
• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent activity and follow-up.
