Job summary

Singer Equipment Company, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to promote our products and services and build relationships with new and existing customers in the Alabama region.

The role focuses on increasing sales of kitchen equipment, tabletop, smallwares, and related supplies to restaurants and other facilities, aiming to meet sales and profit goals through proactive prospecting and a consultative selling approach.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of sales experience with a proven record of success.
• Experience in foodservice distribution or restaurant operations is a plus.
• Stellar business ethics and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Fluency in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
• Valid driver license and willingness to travel within the assigned district.
• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Build a new territory by prospecting for new clients and cultivating existing relationships.
• Educate and sell prospect base using product knowledge.
• Demonstrate consultative selling to generate interest and cultivate relationships.
• Call prospective properties and promote the value of dealing with our company.
• Make product recommendations based on business needs.
• Provide samples, catalogs, or brochures and discuss product features, advantages and benefits.
• Quote prices, convey credit terms, and prepare sales contracts.
• Work with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payments.
• Travel for company functions, meetings, trainings and conferences.
• Submit sales and expense reports promptly.
