Job summary

Thompson Safety in Houston, TX is seeking a Fire Sales Specialist to drive new business and generate leads within the assigned territory. You will build your geography to maximize growth for the company while managing an active sales pipeline.

Responsibilities include cold calling, documenting activity in CRM, maintaining prospect contact, and developing appointments to sustain momentum. Travel may be required to win and cultivate client relationships.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree preferred or success in other sales/service roles at Thompson Safety.
Familiar with codes, product attributes, and procedures in fire protection and life safety.
General awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
Strong ability to utilize technology to increase prospecting activity.
Strong ability to prospect, close, and build rapport with prospects.
Professional certification may be required in some areas.
Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to pass a drug and background check.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.

Maintains contact with prospects via sales calls and follow-ups.
Develops new appointments through scheduled sessions to maintain activity and pipeline.
Supports Company marketing programs and initiatives.
Contacts potential customers to initiate the sales process and win business.
