Job summary

Dinges Fire Company is seeking dynamic sales professionals to plan and execute territory-based sales for fire service products and services. You will build relationships with Fire and EMT decision-makers and drive growth through strategic plans and proactive calls.

Most representatives work as 1099 independent contractors with commission-only pay—about 40% of gross profit on each sale—and many are firefighters by background, which provides valuable product knowledge and a strong customer base.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire service equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Understanding of basic business principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas.
• Develop relationships with Fire and EMT decision-makers in territory.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Schedule sales activity and calls to customers.
• Develop and present proposals for products and services.
• Respond to sales inquiries by phone, email or in person.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain client relationships.
• Monitor and report on sales activities for management.
• Represent the company at sales events and training.
