Job summary

Marine Home Center in Nantucket, MA is seeking an Outside Salesperson to develop and execute sales strategies for contractor, builder, and architectural accounts.

You will drive revenue and profitability, build relationships, and provide technical product support across building materials while traveling to job sites and customer locations. A strong focus on project-based selling, quotes, and on-going education is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent with 5–7 years outside sales experience in building materials.
• 5+ years outside sales experience in building materials (lumber, millwork, hardware, etc.).
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and grow a personal portfolio of contractor and builder accounts.
• Meet or exceed sales and margin goals established with Outside Sales Manager.
• Travel throughout the territory to develop new prospects and strengthen relationships.
• Provide technical product support, including reviews of drawings and installation details.
• Generate quotes, bids, and orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge across building materials categories.
• Represent the company at industry events and maintain high levels of customer service.
