Job summary

Shelter Insurance Companies in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Agency Recruiting Specialist (Resident). The role focuses on recruiting, interviewing, and recommending candidates for agency positions across Shelter's territory, with travel and a company car provided.

Credit/MBR/background checks are required at final stage. Expect to travel overnight frequently, maintain knowledge of Shelter products and licensing, and perform duties as assigned by the Recruiting Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with drive to succeed.
• Willingness to travel overnight frequently (about 50%+).
• Ability to quickly learn Shelter products, policies, and philosophy.
• Licensing in P&C and Life & Health, or commitment to obtain (company paid).
• Capable of performing essential duties with accommodations if needed.

Agency Recruiting Specialist (Resident)

$63,273 base salary

Job Level: Individual Contributor

What You Will Be Doing

Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency positions across Shelter's operating territory. Perform other duties at the request of the Recruiting Manager. Home office equipment and company vehicle provided as well as travel expenses paid.

Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check are ordered on final candidates.

• Aptitude to gain thorough knowledge of company products, policies and philosophy
• Capacity to travel overnight frequently, can be 50% overnight travel or more
• Ability to develop contacts and learn the local area/community, in person on assigned vacancy
• Capability to obtain P & C and Life & Health licensing and maintain current industry knowledge through industry courses (company paid)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
