Job description

Iowa Pump Works, Inc. is a pump sales, service, and consulting company with offices in Ankeny, Iowa, and Louisville, Nebraska. We offer a wide range of products for municipal, industrial, and construction projects, including water and wastewater pumps. Our factory-trained technicians are always available to assist with pump repairs, motor repairs, and control panel repairs.

Iowa Pump Works is hiring an experienced outside sales professional with strong mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn about pumps, ideally for municipal or industrial applications. This individual should excel in building relationships, generating leads, and closing sales. Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.

The role is based in Omaha and requires frequent travel throughout Nebraska to job sites and customer locations.


What you will do:
  • Prospect and develop new accounts through cold calling, leads, and networking
  • Manage a strong sales pipeline using NetSuite CRM
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
  • Understand and promote Iowa Pump Works products and services
  • Collaborate with vendors and attend sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows
  • Deliver effective presentations and negotiate deals
  • Manage time independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel up to 75% throughout Nebraska
Background/ Experience:
  • 4+ years of outside sales experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and pump knowledge
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel overnight as needed
