Strategic Account Manager - Vancer (Finance)

Vancer was formed to create custom maintenance-of-way (MOW) equipment for rail clients. Our employees are the cornerstone of our business and key to ensuring we develop and deliver successful solutions that meet the needs of our railroad customers.

Position Overview

Vancer is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for Vancer Railway Systems to cultivate, maintain, and expand relationships with strategically important OEM Rail customers. The role involves achieving sales quotas and strategic account objectives, representing the full range of company Engine products and services, leading customer acquisition, and managing the account lifecycle to meet customer needs. Heavy equipment experience is required; rail industry experience is preferred. The position can be based anywhere in the United States near an airport, with travel up to 75% nationally and internationally (Mexico & Canada). A company vehicle will be provided.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

  1. Develop and grow business relationships with prospective and established customers to generate opportunities for our services and products.
  2. Understand and apply Vancer's sales process and methodology.
  3. Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and ensure they understand our Engine Products and Services.
  4. Coordinate with support, service, and management teams to meet account performance goals and customer expectations.
  5. Expand our customer base through regular contact, networking, partnerships, onsite visits, cold calling, and follow-up on engine enclosures with OEMs and end users.
  6. Maintain knowledge of products, identify potential issues or opportunities, and communicate offerings effectively.
  7. Promote the company's services by establishing credibility and responsiveness within assigned accounts.
