Territory Account Manager, AST (Minneapolis, MN)

Position Summary

As an AST Territory Account Manager at STERIS, you will drive revenue and margin growth within an assigned territory for Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST). Your responsibilities include managing customer relationships and understanding marketplace dynamics within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Manufacturers. You will negotiate long-term agreements for complex technical products, set and execute strategic goals, and collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure high customer focus.

This is a remote-based, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in one of the following states:

What will you do as a Territory Account Manager:

  • Sell complex contract sterilization services including gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide, electron beam, X-ray, and related validation/support services.
  • Develop strong business relationships, understand customer needs, present value propositions, and negotiate long-term agreements.
  • Evaluate account performance and implement action plans to meet targets.
  • Educate customers on sterilization methodologies and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with AST partners in customer meetings to increase sales and profits.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of sales experience with complex technical products
  • 5 years of negotiating long-term/strategic agreements
  • 5 years of exceeding sales targets with recognition

Preferred:

  • Healthcare sales experience

What STERIS Offers:

We provide a comprehensive benefits package including salary, incentives, vehicle reimbursement, healthcare, 401(k), parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. The pay range is $118,000 - $125,000, with potential on-target earnings of $160,000 - $180,000. The position requires compliance with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
