Position Summary

As an AST Territory Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for driving revenue and margin growth within an assigned territory for Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST). You will manage Customer relationships and understand marketplace dynamics within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Manufacturing sectors. Your role involves negotiating with Customers’ procurement, executive, and legal teams to secure long-term agreements for complex technical products across regional supply chains. You will set and execute strategic goals for your territory to meet and exceed organizational objectives for growth and technology balance, collaborating with Marketing, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure high Customer focus.

This is a remote-based, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in one of the following states:

What will you do as a Territory Account Manager:
  • Sell complex contract sterilization services to territory accounts, including gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide, electron beam, X-ray, and associated validation/support services.
  • Drive revenue and margin growth by building strong business relationships, understanding Customer needs, presenting STERIS's value, and negotiating long-term agreements.
  • Evaluate account performance against objectives and implement action plans to meet targets.
  • Educate Customers on the technical and commercial value propositions of AST sterilization methods to ensure understanding and acceptance.
  • Collaborate with AST partners on Customer meetings to demonstrate STERIS's value and drive sales and profits.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required

  • 10 years of sales experience including selling complex technical products.
  • 5 years of experience negotiating and securing long-term or strategic agreements.
  • 5 years of consistently exceeding sales targets with recognition or awards.

Preferred

  • Healthcare sales experience.

Additional Requirements: Must comply with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.

Pay range: $118,000 - $125,000, plus commissions with On Target Earnings of $160,000 - $180,000. Pay is based on experience and other factors.
