Position Summary

As an AST Territory Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for driving revenue and margin growth within an assigned territory for Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST). You will manage Customer relationships and understand marketplace dynamics within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Manufacturers.

You will negotiate with Customers’ procurement, executive, and legal teams to secure long-term agreements for complex technical products across regional supply chains. You are responsible for setting and executing strategic goals for your territory to meet and exceed organizational objectives for growth and technology balance. Collaboration with Marketing, Operations, and Quality teams is essential to ensure high Customer focus.

This is a remote, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in one of the following states:

What will you do as a Territory Account Manager:
  1. Sell complex contract sterilization services, including gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide, electron beam, X-ray, and related validation/support services.
  2. Drive revenue and margin growth by building strong business relationships, understanding Customer needs, presenting STERIS value, and negotiating long-term agreements.
  3. Evaluate account performance against targets and implement action plans for achievement.
  4. Educate Customers on the technical and commercial benefits of AST sterilization methods to promote understanding and acceptance.
  5. Participate in collaborative Customer meetings to demonstrate STERIS value and drive sales and profit outcomes.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of sales experience with complex technical products
  • 5 years of negotiating and securing long-term/strategic agreements
  • Consistent overachievement of sales targets with recognition or awards

Preferred

  • Healthcare sales experience

Compensation:

Pay range: $118,000 - $125,000. Position is eligible for commissions, with On Target Earnings of $160,000 - $180,000.

Pay rates depend on various factors, including experience, education, certifications, and local labor market conditions.
