Job summary

VEIR, a Woburn, MA-based designer and manufacturer of superconducting power delivery systems, seeks a Commodity Manager for Terminations to lead CM sourcing from prototype to volume production. You will manage key suppliers, drive lead-time reductions, and develop multi-sourcing strategies while guiding NP I stage-gate deliverables and supplier qualifications.

You will own RFIs/RFQs with Engineering, conduct supplier audits, PPAP, and process validation, and negotiate supplier agreements in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years in supply chain or strategic sourcing with CM management.
• Experience setting up contract manufacturers for electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Experience developing RFIs/RFQs with engineering teams from prototype to production.
• PPAP knowledge and supplier audits; ability to negotiate terms.

Responsibilities

• Own the CM sourcing program for Terminations from prototype to volume production.
• Develop detailed production RFQs with CTQ specs in partnership with Engineering.
• Lead supplier audits, PPAP submissions, and capacity validation.
• Drive multi-sourcing to reduce single-source risk and negotiate supplier agreements.
• Build supplier scorecards and manage packaging/shipping plans with Logistics.
