Job summary

VEIR, located in Woburn, MA, seeks a Commodity Manager to own sourcing for the Liquid Nitrogen Cooling System, a cryogenics-driven subsystem with long lead times and limited supplier options.

You will lead multi-sourcing, RFQs with Engineering, supplier audits, and PPAP, collaborating across Product, Commercial, Project, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to move components from qualification to production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, or strategic sourcing, ideally within a technical or cryogenics-adjacent environment.
• Technical engineering background; experience in cryogenics preferred.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and multi-sourcing strategies for long lead time components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits, audits, and qualification activities.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing program for LIN Cooling System, reducing long lead times through multi-sourcing.
• Develop detailed production RFQs with CTQ specs and PPAP requirements.
• Support supplier audits and site visits with Engineering and Quality.
• Build supplier scorecards and manage supplier relationships.
• Lead negotiations of supplier agreements and pricing with Procurement and Finance.
• Create multi-year sourcing roadmap for LIN Cooling System.
