Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Terminal Operator for the Chicago-West Lemont Terminal IL to deliver high quality products and service while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role includes bulk truck loading, hopper barge unloading, and regular terminal maintenance, plus forklift and railcar operations, with paperwork verified for shipments and equipment readings monitored throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High Mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Candidates with a mechanical background and welding experience are desirable.
• Knowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors all Terminal equipment and loads outgoing trucks.
• Unloads inbound barges and railcars and performs terminal maintenance.
• Inspects equipment and ensures paperwork accuracy for shipments.
• Operates forklift, rail car mover and other light industrial equipment.
• Participates in training and cross-training programs; communicates with terminal staff.
