Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. in Chicago-West Lemont Terminal IL is seeking a Terminal Operator to support bulk loading/unloading, equipment operation, and terminal maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma/GED, 1–3 years of experience, and basic computer skills.

You will work with a team to ensure accurate shipments and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities include operating equipment, managing paperwork, and contributing to on-site training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, rail car mover, and other light industrial equipment.
• Load outgoing trucks and unload inbound barges and railcars.
• Perform terminal maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
• Verify paperwork for shipments and ensure accuracy of data.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Participate in training programs and cross-training activities.
• Communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, and suppliers as needed.
• Work rotating shifts.
