Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Terminal Operator Trainee in Selby/Crockett, California, to support terminal operations and the receipt/shipment of fuels by pipeline, railcar and truck. You will unload products, monitor safety and environmental protocols, and help maintain terminal equipment.

The role includes 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, with responsibilities across Truck Rack, Railcar, and Dock loading and unloading.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processes for storage and unloading of railcars.
• Unload ethanol and renewable diesel fuels into tanks from railcars.
• Retrieve samples for testing and quality control.
• Prepare daily inventory and balance reports using the Terminal Automation System.
• Train drivers and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to after-hours calls and maintain environmental safety.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and minimize liability.
• Improve efficiency and profitability through well-maintained facilities.
