Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Terminal Operator to support receipt and shipment of petroleum products by barge, vessel, and truck. The role includes maintaining and auditing operations in line with company and regulatory requirements, and assisting in safety, environmental, and maintenance tasks.

You will work 8-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, on-site at the Vancouver terminal. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a strong safety mindset in a challenging energy

Qualifications

• Ability to use tank gauging, truck loading, TMS7, TopTech, Nustock and other programs.
• Accurately perform routine mathematical calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Accountability and ability to take direction from management.
• Reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules and rules.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Mechanical aptitude to meet maintenance and operational requirements.
• Ability to work in difficult conditions including customer-facing and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate terminal, pipeline, and pump facilities as directed.
• Oversee all activities on an assigned shift when trained.
• Respond to terminal emergencies and coordinate response measures.
• Document, report, and assist in investigations of incidents and spills.
• Assist in training and provide direction to other operators.
• Perform tank gauging, product sampling, testing, and quality monitoring.
• Prepare bills of lading and verify meter tickets.
• Communicate equipment issues to management in a timely manner.
• Maintain shift logs, receipts, and deliveries with accuracy.
• Monitor safety procedures and participate in inspections.
• Perform general upkeep and maintenance and troubleshoot facilities.
