Job summary

Western Dairy Transport, LLC is seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee all daily operations at the assigned location, including loading, unloading, scheduling, inventory management, and safety compliance. You will lead staff, coordinate with maintenance, HR, and procurement, and drive efficiency to meet service goals.

This role requires strong leadership, the ability to travel within the region, and a focus on safety, regulatory standards, and customer relations with plants, dairies, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership or operations experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed
• Strong problem-solving and multi-project management abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent; CDL knowledge not required for this role

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily terminal operations including loading, unloading, scheduling, inventory and equipment management
• Leads staff; recruits and interviews; provides orientation and training
• Ensures safety, regulatory compliance and quality standards
• Develops procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Maintains records, reports, and performance metrics for management
• Manages terminal budget and allocates resources effectively
• Coordinates with maintenance on repairs and equipment upkeep
• Maintains relationships with plants, dairies, and vendors; communicates issues promptly
• Collaborates with HR on hiring decisions and staff development
• Drives KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives
• Travels within designated region as required
• Ensures drug and alcohol testing programs are followed
• Performs other duties as assigned
