Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks an experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at our Vermont terminal. You will direct daily activities, create schedules, and optimize routes to meet customer demands while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

You will work with fleet maintenance, HR, and operations to coach staff, ensure DOT compliance, and develop processes that enhance service quality and cost management. This role requires strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation with leadership experience.
• CDL Class A with required endorsements and medical card.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and meet customer requirements.
• Create driver schedules and manage load assignments to meet customer demands.
• Monitor routing and use routing software to improve efficiency and lower costs.
• Prepare and distribute operational reports (KPIs) and maintain required documentation.
• Establish positive relationships with customers to ensure optimal service.
• Assist in safety investigations and coordinate with HR for driver development.
• Be available for emergencies and on-call rotations.
