Job summary

R+L Carriers in Baltimore, MD seeks a Terminal Manager for full-time, Monday - Friday with various shifts. Earned vacation after 90 days and a strong benefits package accompany this role.

You will plan, organize, and direct all service center operations while leading a team and supporting account managers in growth and retention. The position requires leadership experience, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL, DOT, OSHA, NMFC, tariffs and company policies.
• Strong organizational, logistical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of city and surrounding area needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of the service center operation for profitable results.
• Recommend and initiate personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Assist account managers in the identification, acquisition, and retention of customers.
• Prepare and implement action plans to ensure planned productivity and service goals are achieved
• Prepare and manage safety, security, and loss prevention procedures in accordance with Company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines.
• Responsible for the clean and safe working condition of the facility and equipment
• Submit various financial and operational reports and action plans as directed
• Interpret, implement, and enforce Service Center Work Instructions and Company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director

• Recommend and initiate personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Assist account managers in the identification, acquisition, and retention of customers.
• Prepare and implement action plans to ensure planned productivity and service goals are achieved

• Strong Organizational /Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem solving abilities.
• Knowledge of all aspects of ensuring quality freight handling techniques preferred.
• Must have computer skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of the City and surrounding areas
