Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Dock Supervisor at our Colonial Heights, VA service center to oversee dock and dispatch operations. The role is 3rd shift, full-time, with pay ranging from $68,000 to $85,000 per year.

After 90 days, you earn one week of vacation and benefits include medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid holidays. Qualified candidates will have leadership experience, knowledge of LTL processes, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a dock or distribution setting.
• Experience coordinating dock operations and driver/freight handler scheduling.
• Ability to enforce safety and quality freight handling procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage dock and dispatch operations for the service center.
• Lead scheduling and coordination of drivers and freight handlers.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to quality procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads timely and perform other duties as assigned.

3 rd Shift, Full-Time, Monday – Friday 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Dock Supervisor at our Colonial Heights, VA. Service Center to manage dock and dispatch operations.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
• Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience.
• Must have the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
• Must have computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.
