Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Maintenance Manager to support Terminal and Operations Managers, ensuring schedules, records, and workflows are maintained and safety is prioritized at the facility in Chesapeake.

You will lead tools, parts, and resources, oversee contractors, develop preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with management on goals and action plans.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain MTSA Security clearance is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC is required
• Must be familiar with PLC and their applications (Allen-Bradley). Advanced training in Electronics, preferably related to Gottwald programming.
• Must be conversant in PC software applications (MS Products).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance team has required tools, parts, and resources to perform their job effectively and safely
• Support the Operations Manager when implementing systems, schedules and procedures, and communicate these initiatives to the maintenance team
• Provide comprehensive training, and recognize the individual and team accomplishments
• Ensure all individuals receive compliance training
• Develop and implement a safety-meeting for maintenance and actively participate in facility safety drills
• Oversee all contractor work on site to ensure the contractors comply with facility standards and procedures
• Maintain paperwork and records, while following written procedure
• Schedule to minimize disruptions and redundant work
• Inspect completed jobs for quality assurance
• Respond to unplanned operational and maintenance events
• Plan and budget maintenance activities to work within the O&M monthly budget
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work process
• Diagnose operational problems and recommend corrective action
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Terminal Manager
• Work with the management team to establish goals, priorities, and expectations, and to help develop the action plans and strategies for accomplishing them
