Job summary

Concordia Academy is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of SEND needs within a busy primary setting. The role focuses on assisting teachers, supporting EHCP targets, and promoting positive learning outcomes for pupils.

The successful candidate will have a Level 2 qualification in play work/childcare and at least one year of SEND experience, with strong safeguarding awareness and a calm, patient approach. Term-time hours with INSET days are provided.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with SEND children in the primary age range.
• Experience in busy school environments.
• Understanding of SEN needs and safeguarding procedures.
• Commitment to supporting EHCP targets where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering learning activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a safe classroom.
• Provide support for children with various SEND needs to access learning.
• Promote inclusive practice and encourage pupil confidence.
