Stony Brook University’s C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in formal quantum field theory and/or quantum gravity. The anticipated start date is 9/1/27.

The successful candidate will pursue a vigorous research program and contribute to teaching and mentorship across the department. The faculty member will engage in independent research, collaborate with YITP and Physics & Astronomy colleagues, supervise graduate

Qualifikationen

• PhD degree or foreign equivalent in theoretical physics or closely related field, with an established record of outstanding independent research, including topics in quantum field theory.
