Job summary

Slippery Rock University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Social Work faculty position beginning in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester across BSSW and MSW programs, with undergraduate courses largely in person and graduate courses online.

Responsibilities include maintaining an active program of scholarship, advising students, engaging in service, and participating in departmental, college, and university activities.

Qualifications

• Earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• Candidates must have a doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field.
• ABD will be considered if all requirements are completed by Aug 22, 2027.
• Two years of post‑MSW social work practice experience.
• Eligible to obtain a social work license (LSW) in Pennsylvania.
• Commitment to educating diverse populations.
• Evidence of, or potential for, effective teaching, scholarship, and service.
