Job summary

Mount Holyoke College’s Department of Psychology and Education invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in clinical developmental psychology beginning July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach 200-level courses in clinical and developmental psychology and advanced 300-level laboratory and seminar courses in their area of specialization, while contributing to core courses.

The teaching load is 4 courses per year.

Qualifications

• PhD or ABD required.
• Graduate-level training in clinical practice preferred.
• Experience mentoring a diverse student body across race, ethnicity, SES, gender, nationality, sexuality, disability, and religion.

Responsibilities

• Teach 200-level courses in clinical and developmental psychology.
• Teach advanced 300-level laboratory and seminar courses in area of specialization.
• Contribute to core courses (Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, or Research Methods).
• Maintain an active undergraduate research program and engage undergraduates as research assistants.
• Mentor diverse students and foster inclusive learning environments.
