Job summary

Napa Valley College seeks a certified RN educator to join its Nursing program as a full-time, tenure-track faculty member starting Spring 2027. Appointment is contingent on BRN approval and Board of Trustees, with initial salary placement from $79,556 to $109,349 annually and future steps to $130,752.

Salary is prorated based on start date. The role includes developing, teaching, and evaluating student outcomes; supervising clinical experiences; coordinating with college courses; and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) is required or equivalent.
• BSN with a Master's in health education or health science is acceptable.
• Valid CA Community College teaching credential in Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, teach, and evaluate students' accomplishment of specific objectives.
• Supervise students' clinical experiences in various agencies.
• Coordinate program goals with other courses and health occupations programs.
• Develop and revise curriculum, program evaluation, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Assist the dean/director in program development and division tasks.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Work with department members and leadership to maintain quality instruction.
• Maintain required licensure and BRN requirements.
• Oversee nursing education at clinical sites and meet site requirements.
• Perform related duties in the Health Occupation Division.

Education

Master's degree in nursing (MSN)

Bachelor's in nursing (BSN) AND Master's in health education or health science
