Job summary

Antelope Valley College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Nursing faculty position in the Health and Safety Division. The 10-month assignment includes a 15 hour per semester teaching load, plus five office hours weekly and ongoing professional responsibilities.

Qualified applicants must hold a Master’s in nursing (or equivalent per BRN) and a current CA RN license. Experience in clinical nursing and program planning is desirable; remote teaching options may be available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or bachelor’s in nursing with master’s in health education/health science or equivalent, or BRN equivalency.
• Current California RN license or eligibility for licensure by the BRN.
• One year of full-time acute care experience within last 5 years or eligibility to teach medical-surgical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Teach 15 lecture hour equivalents per semester in RN/Health and Safety Sciences.
• Maintain five office hours per week with posted hours.
• Prepare and timely complete instructional duties and materials.
• Participate in faculty/division meetings, program reviews, and curricular planning.
• Contribute to student learning outcomes data, assessment, and program development.
• Support campus governance and equity initiatives.
• Travel between district locations as required.
