Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or higher as required.
• Current California RN License or eligibility for licensure.
• One year of acute care experience within the last five years or eligible to teach medical-surgical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Teach fifteen lecture hour equivalents per semester in RN and Health & Safety Sciences.
• Maintain five office hours per week with posted hours.
• Participate in program review, curriculum planning and college governance.
• Engage in faculty development, continuing education and student equity initiatives.
• Travel between district locations as required.

Education

Master’s degree in nursing

Bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in health education or health science

Equivalent or higher qualification per BRN
