Appointments are contingent on approval by the college’s Board of Trustees and the California BRN. The college offers fringe benefits and CalSTRS, with future steps to $130,752 based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated college-level teaching experience in Nursing.
• Direct patient care experience within the previous five years in medical-surgical, mental health, or pediatric nursing.
• BRN specialty approval-based on demonstrated experience; provide prior BRN specialty approval if available.
• Degrees from accredited institutions are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, teach, and evaluate students' achievement of course objectives.
• Supervise students' clinical experiences in various agencies.
• Coordinate program goals with other courses and health occupations programs.
• Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Maintain required licensure and BRN compliance.
• Contribute to professional development activities.
