Texas A&M International University in Laredo invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Curriculum & Instruction. This 9-month tenure-track (or tenured for associate) position begins Fall 2027 in the Educational Programs department.

The university emphasizes student success, research, and community engagement in a bicultural city. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, conduct research, and participate in service to department

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction (C&I) or related field.
• ABD considered if degree completed before employment.
• Minimum three years of EC-12 teaching experience or equivalent, 18 graduate credit hours in C&I, and current teaching certification or eligibility.
• Expertise in school- and community-based field experiences required.
• Associate Professor candidates must meet rank and tenure requirements and have substantial publications and leadership.
• Experience with curriculum alignment, mapping, development, program evaluation, assessment, and online course development/teaching encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach, mentor, and advise undergraduate and graduate students in Teacher Preparation and Graduate C&I programs.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Provide service to department, College, University, community, and profession.
• Face-to-face campus work is required.
