Primary duties include teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students in Teacher Preparation and Curriculum & Instruction programs, plus conducting scholarly research for publication. ABD considered if degree completed before employment.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) or related field; ABDs considered if degree completed upon employment.
• Minimum three years of EC–12 teaching experience or equivalent.
• 18 graduate credit hours in C&I and current teaching certification or eligibility.
• Expertise in school- and community-based field experiences required.
• Experience in curriculum alignment, mapping, development, program evaluation, assessment, and online course development and teaching encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Undergraduate Teacher Preparation Program and the Graduate Curriculum & Instruction Program.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students/candidates.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
• Engage in faculty leadership activities and contribute to program development.

Demonstrated scholarly record or research potential in teacher preparation, curriculum, or pedagogy relevant to national, state, and local educational contexts.
