Job summary

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Special Education to begin Fall 2027. The position offers a 9-month, tenure-track appointment with duties across face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses.

The candidate will mentor students, participate in departmental, college, and university committees, and contribute to a culture of student success and research excellence on the Laredo campus.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Special Education or related field is required.
• ABD considered for Assistant Professor if degree completed before appointment.
• Experience teaching both face-to-face and online courses.
• PreK-12 Special Education certification or eligibility with classroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and online graduate courses across modalities.
• Mentor students and serve on departmental and college committees.
• Engage in scholarly activity and service within the university.
