Texas A&M International University invites applications for two Instructional Assistant Professor of Special Education positions in Laredo, TX, beginning Fall 2027. This is a non-tenure track, nine-month faculty appointment with a three-year initial term, renewable based on evaluations.

Primary duties include teaching 15 credits per semester across modalities—face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses—plus mentoring students and serving on committees.

Qualifications

• PhD in Special Education or closely related field required.
• Current Special Education teaching license or eligibility required.
• ABD candidates considered but must finish doctorate before appointment begins.

Responsabilités

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester across modalities (face-to-face and online undergraduate and online graduate).
• Mentor students and serve on departmental, college, university, and professional committees.
• Attend on-campus work schedule and maintain regular presence on site.
