Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline from an accredited institution, Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive, command-level leadership experience within a recognized criminal justice agency.
• Demonstrated knowledge of core criminal justice domains such as law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations in academic or professional settings.
• College teaching experience in the discipline; community college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and upper-level Criminal Justice courses.
• Utilize diverse instructional methods including asynchronous online, hybrid/remote formats, and traditional classes.
• Engage students through high-impact practices and project-based learning.
• Assess learning outcomes at course, program, and institutional levels.
• Integrate instructional technology to enhance engagement and learning.
• Mentor students and support retention and program growth.
• Collaborate on departmental initiatives and governance.
