Passaic County Community College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Faculty position in Human Services/Social Work in Paterson, NJ. The 10-month role begins Spring 2027 and is in-person, with duties spanning teaching, service, and program leadership to support student learning and success.

The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate courses, engage diverse learners, and participate in curriculum development and college governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field; PhD preferred.
• Strong foundation in Human Services/Social Work with ability to teach theory and practice.
• College teaching experience or significant professional practice in the field.
• Ability to use learning technologies and LMS to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in Human Services/Social Work courses.
• Maintain regular office hours and support diverse learners.
• Deliver online, hybrid, Zoom, and in-person instruction as needed.
• Assess learning outcomes aligned with program goals.
• Participate in curriculum development and program initiatives.
• Engage in shared governance and professional development.
