Volunteer State Community College invites applicants for an Instructor of Criminal Justice in a 9/10 month tenure-track role. The position oversees the CJ program, teaches 15 credits per term, and supports practicum, capstone courses, and student workers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent with additional CJ coursework (18 graduate hours)
• Ability to deliver quality instruction in multiple formats including online and hybrid
• Proficiency with learning management systems and course records management
• Effective communication and collaboration with diverse faculty, staff, and students

Responsibilities

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per term and maintain office hours as defined by policy
• Deliver instruction across fall and spring with 28–32 credits per year
• Lead development, evaluation, and review of program and curriculum
• Coordinate advisory committees and oversee course staffing and assessments
• Engage in service activities in support of the college mission and student success
