Weber State University invites applications for a tenure-track University Faculty position in Computational Chemistry, starting July 1, 2027. We seek a broadly trained chemist whose computational work spans quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, cheminformatics, data science, and AI, with interests in biomolecular modeling, drug discovery, materials science, catalysis, or electrochemistry.

The successful candidate will integrate computation into the undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field completed before July 2027; ABD candidates considered if the degree is completed before July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower- and upper-division undergraduate courses (lectures and labs).
• Establish an active and sustained research program with undergraduates in computational chemistry.
• Serve on department and university committees.
