Job summary

Colorado College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry with a specialization in Computational Chemistry, to begin August 2027. The department emphasizes inclusive pedagogy and undergraduate research in a liberal arts setting.

Primary teaching will cover General Chemistry CH107/CH108, foundational and upper-level courses, and entail mentoring undergraduates. A strong research program and service contributions are expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field by start of employment (Aug 2027).
• Broad teaching experience in chemistry, including computational chemistry.
• Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience, including mentoring undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Chemistry (CH107, CH108) and foundational/upper-level courses in your area.
• Contribute to Colorado College's General Education Program.
• Maintain an active undergraduate research program and mentor students; engage in service.
