  • Collaborative and able to coordinate input from colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit competitive technical and commercial tender proposals for cable installation, maintenance, and repair scopes.
  • Develop installation and repair methodologies, execution philosophies, and supporting technical narratives.
  • Build and maintain cost models, schedules of rates, and estimates covering vessels, equipment, personnel, and subcontracted services.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from vessel owners, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Analyze client ITT documentation, scopes of work, and specifications to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, qualifications, and technical risk registers.
  • Coordinate input from engineering, operations, QHSE, and commercial colleagues to produce a coherent submission.
  • Support contract negotiation and handover of awarded work to the project delivery team.
  • Maintain the tender library, standard content, and lessons learned for future bids.
  • Ensure submissions comply with client requirements, regulations, and company standards.

Kalypso Offshore is seeking a Tender Engineer to join our team in New York and play a central role in winning new work. Subsea cable installation, maintenance, and repair contracts are won on the strength of the technical and commercial proposal, and you will be at the heart of building those submissions — developing methodologies, cost models, and technical documentation for tenders across the offshore wind and telecommunications sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit competitive technical and commercial tender proposals for cable installation, maintenance, and repair scopes.

Requirements

  • Experience building cost estimates and schedules of rates for offshore marine spreads.
  • Familiarity with client ITT processes, framework agreements, and call-off contracting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
