Job summary

Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant Niu Valley is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. Immediate opening with morning or night shifts, Thursday through Sunday, with training available and no prior experience required. Compensation ranges from $16 to $20 per hour plus tips based on experience.

We offer part-time and full-time options and a supportive culinary environment. Expect a focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork as you prepare and present dishes to meet recipe

Qualifications

• Experience as Line Cook or similar in a fast-paced kitchen is a plus.
• Strong cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items per recipes and standards.
• Ensure timely dish preparation meeting quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation with health and safety compliance.
• Assist with inventory including receipt and storage of supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to optimize workflow.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Participate in cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Contribute to menu development and improvements when appropriate.
