Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant in Honolulu is seeking line cooks for both part-time and full-time shifts. Training is available, and no prior experience is required. You will join a busy kitchen, prep ingredients, and cook a variety of Japanese dishes to our quality standards.

Pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour plus tips, with morning and evening shifts. Benefits include meal discounts, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within a supportive culinary team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Previous experience as a line cook is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations throughout the shift.
• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared following food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage food inventory and minimize waste.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure ingredient quality and freshness.
• Support the kitchen team during peak hours by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
