Job summary

The City of Saint Paul is seeking temporary Impound Lot Clerk/Customer Service Attendants for the 2026-2027 snow emergency season (Oct 2026–May 2027). These on-site roles involve clerical and outdoor tasks at two Saint Paul impound lots, with on-call shifts during a wide schedule.

Responsibilities include logging and securing impounded property, collecting fees, handling complaints, and ensuring proper release to claimants. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a Minnesota Class D license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a Minnesota Class D Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
• Release property and evidence to properly identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
• Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of financial transactions.
• Take and resolve complaints related to storage of evidence and property or refer to higher-level staff.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
