Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a reliable Tech Support Specialist to support day-to-day technology needs in warehouse operations. This temporary role covers setup, deployment, and maintenance of computers, printers, barcode scanners, and network devices to ensure minimal downtime.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity while assisting staff and coordinating with vendors. Prior experience in IT support and strong customer service are essential for rapid problem resolution.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of IT support or technical support experience.
Experience troubleshooting Windows PCs, printers, networking equipment, and Wi‑Fi connectivity.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts including routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, and wireless networking.
Experience with barcode scanners, mobile devices, or warehouse technology is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to technical issues.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, barcode scanners, and other warehouse technology.
Ensure all devices are connected to company Wi‑Fi and network.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Provide technical support to warehouse employees and office staff.
Install software updates, security patches, and system upgrades.
Monitor and maintain warehouse technology to minimize downtime.
Configure user accounts, passwords, and device access as needed.
Coordinate with internet service providers and third‑party vendors when necessary.
Perform routine inspections of technology equipment to identify and resolve potential issues.
Replace or repair malfunctioning hardware.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment, accessories, and spare parts.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and equipment installations.
Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up workstations and technology.
