Job summary

The State of South Carolina DMV seeks a Temporary Titling & Licensing Specialist to support Pee Dee region offices. You will handle driver licenses, registrations, titles, and related documents while ensuring accuracy, customer service, and adherence to SC DMV policies.

Responsibilities include processing requests, updating records, and assisting banks, dealerships, and other stakeholders. Training and occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include fingerprints prior to being certified to administer CDL knowledge skill tests.
• Before being certified to administer CDL knowledge skill tests must complete a formal CDL test examiner trainer course and examination.

Responsibilities

• Examines, accepts, prepares, enters and prints all documents required in issuing drivers' licenses, permits and IDs for various classes and titles.
• Creates and edits customer name and address fields.
• Manages needs of business customers such as licensing, insurance issues and verifying customer numbers.
• Processes motor vehicle registration requests and research suspension inquiries.
• Answers customer inquiries via telephone, email, or mail and directs customers to appropriate areas.
