Job summary

The State of South Carolina DMV is seeking a Temporary Titling & Licensing Specialist for the Low Country region. This on-site role handles titles, registrations, and licensing for vehicles, drivers licenses, permits, and related documents, while providing courteous customer service to a diverse public.

You will work with bank and dealership records, process fees, and assist with compliance checks under SC DMV policies. Prior clerical experience is essential; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Examines, accepts, prepares, enters and prints documents for drivers licenses, permits and identifications.
• Manages customer inquiries via phone, email or in person and directs customers within the office.
• Operates equipment and software to issue credentials and process license and title transactions.
• Administers knowledge tests for various driver licenses and reviews applications for policy compliance.
• Collects fees and donations, reconciles daily reports, and maintains accurate records.
