Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant for Explorer Academy in Bunnell for a roughly three-month assignment during October through December. This role supports children with a positive, nurturing learning environment. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m.

Easterseals Florida is seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant to join our team at Explorer Academy in Bunnell for an approximately three-month assignment during October, November, and December.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact in a positive, supportive learning environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled between 7:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

What You\'ll Do

As a Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant, you\'ll help create a positive and enriching experience for children. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting classroom activities and daily routines
• Encouraging children\'s learning, development, and independence
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
• Following lesson plans and classroom schedules
• Assisting with meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Helping ensure classrooms remain clean, organized, and compliant with program standards

What We\'re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to successfully complete the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45-Hour Child Care Training within the first 90 days of employment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive, patient, and supportive approach when working with children
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and routines
• Willingness to learn DCF standards, ASQ, Conscious Discipline, and developmentally appropriate practices
