Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking an Exceptional Student Education Teacher Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is full-time during the school year, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of $18.00 per hour.

You will create a supportive learning environment, design age-appropriate activities, supervise children, and communicate with families while collaborating with staff to promote inclusion and student progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Florida Staff Credential options: FCCPC, ECPC, CDA/NECC, or an Associate Degree.
  • Completion of 45-hour Florida Child Care Training preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive, safe, stimulating and inclusionary learning environment.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Provide constant supervision to ensure safety and well-being of each child.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and families.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to promote a cohesive team.
  • Screen and assess children to determine developmental and educational needs.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework (preferred, not required)
  • A Florida Staff Credential (one of the following):
  • ----Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC),
  • ----Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC),
  • ----National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC), or
  • ----Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
  • Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
