Job summary

The Museum of Modern Art is hiring a Temporary Stock Associate for the Design Store at 44 West 53rd Street. You will maintain the stockroom, replenish the sales floor, and ensure efficient handling of in-bound and out-going deliveries.

Responsibilities include unloading shipments, receiving merchandise, processing online orders, and preparing products for display. You’ll support store operations and participate in staff training to enhance customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in a retail stockroom/shipping.
• Strong verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading shipments and deliveries.
• Receive all merchandise into the stockroom.
• Process store sends and buy online orders for pickup and ship from store.
• Prepare products to be fixture ready (ticketing, wrapping).
• Replenish store fixtures and maintain an organized stockroom.
• Assist with inventories and participate in staff training.
• Occasionally make local deliveries as needed.
